1. Who is Trilogy?

Trilogy E-Business Software India Pvt. Ltd. is a subsidiary of Trilogy Software, Inc. a privately held software company based in Austin, Texas, USA. We were founded in 1989 in the US and in 2000 in India.

2. How does the work at Trilogy India compare to that at the US?

Like its counterpart at Austin, the Trilogy India operation encompasses end-to-end activity from Business Development to Delivery. As such the work at both the entities is similar.

3. What are Trilogy’s goals?

Trilogy has two primary goals against which we measure our performance on a semi-annual and annual basis. The first is 100% customer success. We check this parameter by asking each of our customers, “Are you successful because of Trilogy?” The second goal is for the growth in our corporate profits. We measure profit growth on each of our customers.

4. What is Trilogy’s Business Strategy?

First we use deep knowledge of an industry and a critical understanding of the big business problems in that industry to identify problems that are worth hundreds of millions of dollars (US) to companies that clock several billion dollars (US) in annual revenue. We call this “taking the hills.”
Next we develop differentiated technology solutions which when implemented will solve the biggest business problems. We call this “building killer apps.”
Thirdly we work intently to deploy the software applications in such a way that they actually deliver the business value intended. We do so by following a deployment methodology called Fast Cycle Time that we have developed to keep our focus on consistently delivering value through the rapid phases of our deployments. We call this “making it work.”
Lastly, we have a keen focus on recruiting and leadership development such that we have truly great teams supporting each of our customers. We call this “developing all-star teams.”
   

5. How is Trilogy different from other product companies?

Trilogy provides deep, industry-specific solutions to a small set of very large customers. This allows us to create significantly greater business value for our clients as compared to other product companies. We are thus different from other companies who develop and deploy applications that are not built specifically for an industry.

7. What is Trilogy’s work environment?

Trilogy’s work environment is challenging, exciting, flexible, informal and fun. While we are serious about achieving results, we have a team of young, enthusiastic developers in India that is driven by facing challenges and learning more every day. Our organizational hierarchy is quite minimal with just 5 layers between a fresh graduate and Joe, our CEO.

The environment is very informal and relaxed as can be seen by the fact that Trilogy does not enforce any dress code and that the average age of those in our India office is 24 years!

8. What is the process for Career Development at Trilogy?

All new joinees will go through a Career development workshop which focuses on how to actively manage your own development as well as the development of your direct reports and/or teammates.

Each person will be assigned a career advisor who will work with him on his career interest and development plan.

10. Who are Trilogy’s customers?

We work only with industry leading companies. To name a few, Ford and Nissan in the automotive industry, British Airways in the airline industry, Lucent in the telecommunications industry, and Sun, SGI, HP, and IBM in the computer industry. 9. For what position is Trilogy hiring fresh graduates?

We are hiring fresh graduates into one position: Technical Analysts. Technical Analysts are expected to develop and present ideas on the next generation of solutions that will drive Trilogy’s business in the future. See the section on career path for more details


10. What does Trilogy offer on campus?

Trilogy’s compensation approach is to be above 90th percentile of the market and is heavily cash based.

Apart from the base salary, Trilogy offers Joining Bonus, TU Graduation Bonus and Customer Success Bonus.

11. What other opportunities and responsibilities does a fresher get at Trilogy?

In addition to challenging technical work, freshers are expected to develop the next great Trilogy product and participate in building a great company through their leadership and initiative. There are many ways to exhibit these skills such as: campus recruiting, employee training/mentoring, and technical soundness.
